Bryan had a keen interest in martial arts, he started training MMA & BJJ in 2006 with Brian Coyle and Stephen Coll.


Bryan fought in several MMA devisions and leagues throughout 2006-2013. He received blue belt from Master Rilion Gracie in Miami 2010 and made it an annual trip going there for the next 10 years with his coach Brian Coyle (head instructor of Rilion Gracie Ireland).

Bryan started teaching MMA & BJJ in Donegal town in 2009 and continued training with coach Coyle in Letterkenny every week teaching his students what Brian taught him -  the Donegal Town club continued to grow from there. Bryan earned his black belt in 2019 from professor Romulo Reis Pierre and states "this is only the start of his journey".
